The service

What we serve, and who we serve

For hotel guests the Locanda serves breakfast, dinner and aperitifs, on a half-board basis. Lunches and dinners are open to non-residents too, by reservation. Events and ceremonies — weddings, christenings, company dinners, anniversaries — are planned together, always by reservation.

In the colder months we remain a private setting for hotel guests and private celebrations: not an à la carte restaurant open to the public.

In the cellar, a short wine list, almost entirely from the Marche, with the pairings already included in the event menus. To book a dinner or plan an event, a phone call or two lines are enough: we will build the right menu for the occasion together.

The kitchen

Marche and Romagna, all zero-kilometre

Ours is a traditional kitchen, poised between the Marche and Romagna: seasonal, local ingredients, chosen at zero kilometres, changing with what the land offers through the year. What arrives at the table is not just a menu, but the story of this land.

We cook on induction, on a full-electric kitchen with no flame: it is part of our Green Energy story, the same clean choice that powers the whole house. Lower consumption, more control over the cooking, the same care on the plate as always.

Through the season we run themed dinners, such as the Valentine's Day one: three courses plus dessert, with paired wines, water and cover included. Every menu comes out of its moment in the year, so it changes: we will tell you about it when you book.

The cellar

The producers behind the list

The list is short and almost entirely from the Marche: a few estates, followed for years, that come back season after season. They say as much about what we look for on the plate.

  • Guerrieri

    5 labels Marche

The Bianchello del Metauro and the Colli Pesaresi Riserva, the two Guerriero wines of sea and land, and the sour cherry wine to close the dinner.

  • Simone Capecci

    4 labels Marche

The Passerina Tufilla and the Pecorino Ciprea, the Pallido rosé, and the Picus Rosso Piceno that goes with the meat dishes.

  • Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo

    4 labels Marche

Four labels on the list, among them the Fortercole: the bottle for the occasions that deserve one.

The hours

The day at the table

  • Breakfast 07:30 – 09:30
  • Light lunch for cyclists until 16:00
  • Aperitif and afternoon snack 17:00 – 19:00
  • Dinner 19:30 – 20:30

Breakfast is served to the table — house pastries, local savouries, baked goods, juices, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, cereals, eggs and tarts.

The spaces

From the historic wing to the aromatic garden

Two rooms inside the farmhouse — exposed brick and stone walls, great beams and vaulted arches — and two outdoor spaces for the warmer months.

  • La Locanda Ca' Virginia, the main room — up to 100 guests, 80 for more intimate ceremonies
  • Sala Il Convivio — up to 130 guests for a banquet
  • Il Giardino Aromatico — dinners under the stars beside the pool, looking out over the Foglia valley
  • Il Porticato — the patio over the park among bay and lemon trees, for breakfasts and aperitifs

When needed, the Sala Il Convivio turns into a conference room for meetings and presentations: the full technical sheet is on the Events page.
